SCOTT EVANS

& THE FUSION RADIO

The first 14 years of Scott’s life were filled with BMX bicycles and sports, leaving no room for anything else. Scott then started to spend time with his cousins, who were a DJ and producers, so his conversion from BMX trick bike kid into a DJ’s padawan was easy. Growing up, he had a lot of influence from many different artists and genres of music like funk, blues, Afrobeat reggae, and hip-hop & r&b. After two years of underground parties, live radio DJ sessions, and playing as a warm-up DJ to Some famous artists, he knew that the future had something in store for him.

Scott started to play at clubs like Nassau Coliseum and the Zoo Club, which followed residencies in clubs nationwide. He then moved to the U.S., where things continued, and he gained lots of essential knowledge along the way. After two years in the U.S., Scott moved to London, where everything exploded in terms of music. I was introduced to music styles like drum and bass, garage, dub-step, British hip-hop, and more. This was when where Scott’s experience with music genres started to grow.

Scott’s always liked collecting vinyl, so London was a melting pot. Collecting Vinyl with DJs like Carl Cox, Dave Pearce, Sasha, & more. Traveling from London up to Leeds showed Scott that you never know who you’ll meet when you order vinyl.  After years, he traveled around Europe, where he started to get into production and remixing. Playing at clubs in Barcelona, Prague, Vienna, and Ibiza, Scott experienced some of the best DJ sets he could ever imagine.

With all the cultural influences in the music industry over the years, his taste in music has grown immensely, along with his DJ sets. Scott then moved to Oslo for a while and met up with talented artists like Daniel Ortega and Geir G-HA, where he continued to do what he loved. Now settled in Austria, feeling inspired by being surrounded by so many artists, he has helped his production skills move to the next level. Let’s see what the future has in store.
